We use a tiny needle to inject botulinum toxin to temporarily relax the facial muscles that create wrinkles. The full effect occurs after around two weeks, with follow-up occurring around that time for first-time treatments.
Following treatment, patients should remain upright for three hours, taking care not to bend over or lie down. Following treatment, patients should avoid high intensity exercise for one day and avoid touching the injected area. You should gently exercise the muscles after treatment. You may be advised not to take Ibuprofen, Aspirin or certain vitamins for a few days following treatment.
